O-Shot Q & A

What is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot is a nonsurgical treatment developed just for women to improve sexual satisfaction. It can improve sexual function and even addresses other conditions like urinary incontinence.

The O-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a solution packed with growth factors that’s derived from your own blood. When used in the O-Shot, PRP stimulates tissue regeneration in the vaginal walls and cilitoris.

New cell growth results in new collagen and blood vessels to both improve the vagina’s appearance and increase sensation. With the O-Shot, it’s possible to achieve better, stronger orgasms.

What can the O-Shot treat?

Common symptoms like vaginal dryness, discomfort, and difficulty reaching orgasm can be frustrating for many women. You don’t have to let your sex drive wane and your personal relationship suffer because of sexual dysfunction.

The O-Shot can improve a number of conditions, including:

  • Low sex drive
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Vaginal discomfort or pain with sex
  • Inability to orgasm
  • Urinary incontinence

The O-Shot treatment is customizable. Dr. Paz takes the time to understand your unique concerns and sexuality to map the best areas to inject PRP.

What can I expect when I get the O-Shot?

If you’re curious about the O-Shot, Dr. Paz talks with you about your treatment options. She reviews your symptoms and medical history to help you decide if the O-Shot is right for you.

She takes a sample of blood from your arm and processes it in a centrifuge to generate your PRP solution. After determining the best locations to inject the O-Shot, she applies a topical numbing cream to keep you comfortable. Dr. Paz may make a series of small injections in and around the vagina.

Because the PRP in the O-Shot is developed from your own blood, there are minimal side effects and there’s no chance of an adverse reaction to PRP.

You may notice immediate changes in the appearance of your vagina, but the real results develop in the following months. The PRP stimulates new tissue growth to boost sensation and reduce negative symptoms like vaginal dryness. Expect the results you achieve with the O-Shot to last up to 18 months.
